Staying Connected & Spiritual Communion

Men of Christ:

As we are battling through this Pandemic and through a new but hopefully temporary way of life with social distancing, self-quarantine and shelter in place, the Men Under Construction prayer warriors thought it would be helpful for all of you to know that we were thinking about you and praying for you and your families and friends. Through the grace of God, we will see and experience a brighter tomorrow. But we have to do our part which includes putting our trust in our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ! He will stand with you the whole way.

Spiritual Communion

Though we are temporarily suspended from receiving Holy Communion due to the efforts and rules to contain and mitigate the virus, we can still receive Spiritual Communion by attending live-stream Mass or pre-recorded Mass. We can also recite the beautiful Spiritual Communion prayer below.

We will get through this and will become better for it. Keep your head up toward heaven and pray as you have never prayed before. A great prayer that puts things in perspective is the Pandemic prayer from the Ursuline Sisters found below the Spiritual Communion prayer.

Participate in and Embrace the Catholic Faith

There are so many ways right now to participate and embrace the Catholic faith. Most every parish has their own website and the KCK Archdiocese (ArchKCK – Home) and the KC-St. Joe Diocese (Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph in Kansas City, Missouri) have very good websites. Moreover, you can listen to inspiring speakers on KEXS Catholic radio 1090 AM (Catholic Radio Network » Listen in Online!) to guide you in the Catholic faith.

May God hold you in the hollow of his hands and may you feel His presence no matter what life brings.

Jesus is the Way, The Truth and The Light. Listen to Him and He will show you the way!

Thank you. If you learn of any live streams like the archdiocese is doing with the rosary and Sunday mass, please pass these along as the live nature seems to help me with the isolation and loneliness the quarantine has brought about. I expect others may feel the same way.
